The Story Behind Omaz Kitchen
As a nurse, I’ve cared for many older adults who often had limited flavorful meal options because of dietary and health concerns. Over time, I found myself asking a simple question:
“Is there a way to make healthier meals that are still flavorful, enjoyable, and comforting for families?”
Around October 2025, I began experimenting with a well-known suya spice recipe that traditionally takes a long process to prepare. After many trials, I found a way to simplify the process while still creating something rich, flavorful, and satisfying.
At the time, my one-year-old — who was a very picky eater — loved it. My husband did too. Since then, our air-fried and oven-baked meats, fish, and roasted vegetables have become meals we genuinely look forward to enjoying together.
Omaz Kitchen was created to bring bold African flavor to everyday meals in a cleaner, more thoughtful way. Our suya spice is made without MSG, allowing families to season meals to their preference.
Alongside our suya spice blends, we also make small-batch African snacks inspired by the treats we enjoy at home with family and friends. We hope you enjoy them too.
